Stansfeld’s party continued to the last game of the season as a young team played a Sutton before their play off final a week this Saturday, writes Dave Marks...

In a tight first half a much changed team held there head and nerve to walk it to the break.

Ten minutes intol the second half a good run from Luke Rooney on the left cut back for Draper to score Stansfeld’s first. Then on 60 mins a great solo effort by sub Jamie Turner made it 2-0.

In the seventieth minute another good effort by Turner left an easy follow up for Jamie Bowes. With fifteen minutes left a 20 yard screamer by Jamie Turner left the Stansfeld team 4-0 up.

With five minutes left a deflected shot left Scowen to header his first and Stansfeld’s fifth goal.

An injury time consolation for Sutton didn’t save their blushes as Stanfeld marched on to the play off final 
Pointing to the performances of Joe Clark and Harry Draper, Danny Steeles said after the game: “My team played great. Watch this space, some of these boys will be in the first team next year.”

Man of the Match: Jamie Bowes. The old head’s experience showed.

The play off final, between Stansfeld and Oakfield or Sheppey, is to be held at Phoenix Sports Club (Mayplace Road East BexleyHeath DA7 6JT) at 11am, May 17.

This is also FA cup final day, so ditch the big boys and come to watch Stansfeld!
